Umpqua Hot Springs

Umpqua Hot Springs

When you’re ready to unwind and let all of your cares wash away, head up to Umpqua Hot Springs where the waters reach 108 degrees, the hike is a short 0.3 miles and the average soaker is not shy about bearing it all.

Yes, nudity is common at Umpqua Hot Springs. But what some soakers lack in clothing, the springs make up for in amenities. Here you’ll find a tub, plenty of spots to call your own, a safe parking spot and views of Surprise Falls. There’s even a bathroom. Be sure to bring along $5 to pay for parking or simply post your Northwest Forest Pass to use the day-only park. Looking for a campsite? The Toketee Lake Campground is just down the road.

Hot. Hot. Hot. To get to the hot springs, take OR-138 east and then turn left at milepost 59 on Forest Road 34. At the bottom on the hill, turn left across the concrete bridge, go 2.2 miles and turn right onto Forest Road 3401. You’ll find the parking area on the left a little more than half a mile down the road.
